Working closely with the developer, elected officials and local stakeholders, LWDMR began planning efforts to transform an outdated and depressed Section 8 based housing complex into a viable and sustainable mixed-income affordable housing community.
Located on the site of the historic former worker housing for Seabrook Frozen Foods, Countryside Village is now comprised of 300 one, two, and three-story townhouse units placed around a central village green, and includes a Learning Center and Community Center. All units incorporate front porches and private entrances. Constructed over three phases, this sustainable project has been developed under the New Jersey Green Homes Program and the New Jersey Energy Star Homes Program.
